PDF Generation activity

Use the automatic PDF Generation activity to define PDF settings for a specific document or all documents within a folder.

A PDF Generation activity is typically used after the Extraction and Validation activities. The document structure is defined after validation, and the values of index fields from a document are available for the PDF document information after extraction.

Using this activity in a process creates a record in the Job History or View Job in the TotalAgility Workspace at runtime.

Note the following:

  • If the process fails at runtime, the job is suspended and the job note is updated with a message describing the reason for suspension.

  • When you view the job or the process design in the map viewer, the PDF Generation activity appears with configured properties.

  • This activity is automatically executed at runtime if the Transformation Server is installed in your system. See the TotalAgility Installation Guide.
