Total page counter

You can see the statistics related to your current scan job. This information can help you audit if the software has scanned the same number of pages as your physical documents.

When you scan using the Scan Create New Job form or Scan activity, the following scan statistics are displayed on the status bar of the capture client:

  • For Scan Create New Job form and Scan Activity forms:

    | Total Pages (Scanned/Auto Deleted/Job): X/Y/Z |

    Where:

    • X=Total number of pages being scanned or imported, including any blank pages.

    • Y = Number of auto removed pages due to blank page removal image processing setting or patch code deletion.

    • Z=Total number of pages in the job, which include pages from all sources, not necessarily just from scan or import.

  • For Verification, Document Review and Validation Activity forms:

    | Total Pages (Job): Z |

Where Z=Total number of pages in the job.

The Z counter is not a constant value; after deleting a page in non-scan activities, it is appropriately decreased.

If a page is replaced, only one scanned page is added to the scanned pages counter.

Because for the duplex scanning, if both front and back pages are not empty, only the front page is used and the back is discarded, and therefore the back page is not added to the blank pages counter or scanned pages counter.

During duplex scanning you can scan a sheet with front being blank and back non-blank. In such case, back is used for replace and only 1 scanned page is added to the scanned pages counter.

If for duplex scanning you scan the sheet which is blank from both sides, the page is not replaced, and the page counters are not changed.
