Configure validation for folder fields

Configure validation rules on folder fields to determine if a field is valid or invalid. You can also associate multiple validation rules to a field.

  1. On the Folder Field Group, select the field.
  2. Click the Validation tab.
  3. On the Available list, select a validation rule, and click Add Add Validation.

    The rule moves to the Existing list.

    To remove a validation rule from the Existing list to the Available list, select the rule, and click Remove Remove Validation.

  4. To change the order of a selected validation rule, click the Up or Down button.
    Note At runtime, validation rules are executed based on the order of the rules.
