On the left side of the PaperPort window, the Page Thumbnails pane displays the page thumbnails of a selected item both in desktop view and Image View.
Choose
Thumbnail on the Desktop ribbon
(desktop view) to show or hide this pane in desktop view.
Choose
Page Thumbnails on the View ribbon to do the same in Image View.
You can perform the following page thumbnail operations on PDF files that are not read-only: reordering, inserting, appending, cutting, copying, pasting and deleting pages. These operations are only available for PDF files.
For a full list of which MAX files operations remain available, see About PaperPort image items.
Before you carry out operations in the Page Thumbnails pane, you must first select the thumbnails to work with. Click a page to select it. Use the Shift key to select neighboring pages, the Ctrl key for non-neighboring pages and <Ctrl A> to select all pages. Selected pages display in a blue box.
Make a selection. Press the Del key or choose Delete Selection from the shortcut menu. Pages are physically deleted. To copy, cut or paste pages use the shortcut menu or Ctrl keys: <Ctrl C> to Copy, <Ctrl X> to Cut and <Ctrl V> to Paste.
You can insert all pages of a PDF file or any image file (including MAX files) into a PDF file at a chosen location, or append the pages to the end of a PDF file. The pages are copied, converted to PDF if necessary and added to the PDF file.
To insert an item, select the page before which you want to insert the item. Right-click and select Insert New Pages Here from the shortcut menu. An Import New Pages dialog box appears. Select a file name and click Import.
To append an item do the same and choose Append New Pages at the End.
Note
When you insert or append to a document, the original remains in its original format.
When inserting or appending is done in PDF Viewer Plus or Power PDF, you can choose which pages from a source document should be inserted or appended.
