Document Settings

You can display the Document Settings dialog box from the PDF Settings or PDF Create Profiles dialog boxes.

It has two tabs: Open Option and Document Information.

The Open Option tab contains options for defining

  • How the resulting PDF is displayed in a PDF Viewer (for example, which page to display as initial page, how to arrange pages).

  • How the PDF Viewer should appear (for example, display page title or not, show or hide menu bar and  toolbars).

The Document Information tab lets you

An alternative is to select Embed document information in the Application settings section of the Word Options, Excel Options, and PowerPoint Options dialog boxes. That transfers the document information – already stored in the source document – to the PDF output. Any data category not supported by the PDF Document Information structure is considered a custom field. Data transferred in this way override any data entered in the Document Settings dialog box.
