Connectors Ribbon

Each connector has its own group in the Connectors ribbon.

In Power PDF Standard, the cloud sites are always supported, but Document Management System (DMS) support is not available.

In Power PDF Advanced, connectors must be explicitly selected during installation, or by changing the installation later. To modify connector choices after installation, run Custom Setup. Refer to Power PDF Getting Started Guide for details.

The connectors below always appear, if installed: Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, and OneDrive, and (in Power PDF Advanced) Microsoft SharePoint. Any further supported DMS systems that have a client component installed on your computer are also available.

The Connectors toolbar includes the following toolbar commands for cloud connectors:

Evernote delete access data icon

When a tool to a Connector is first clicked, you are directed to a login screen. Enter your user name or e-mail address and password. Grant access and permissions if you are prompted to do so. You can manage your cloud and DMS connector accounts in the File->Options dialog box, on the Connectors page.

Note: You can disable and enable the eDocs and iManage Work DMS integration at File > Options > General > Integrations. This feature is not supported for other connectors.

You can load or save files from and to the connector. You stay logged into that connector for the duration of your session, and your access data is saved so it can be pre-filled for use when you log in to subsequent sessions.   Power PDF Advanced provides an interface for interacting with SharePoint. For all other Document Management Systems (DMS), you must use the interface of the applicable DMS.

SharePoint supports the following toolbar commands:

SharePoint open icon Open
SharePoint save icon Save
SharePoint Document Properties icon SharePoint Document Properties

iManage supports the following toolbar commands:

  • iManage Work: This group appears only if the iManage 9.x DeskSite client is already installed, and you selected the iManage Work connector when installing Power PDF Advanced. The Power PDF add-on installed with the connector serves the requests between iManage and Power PDF. The group consists of the following tools:
    • iManage Work Open
    • iManage Work Save
    • iManage Work Properties
    • Register/Unregister
  • iManage: This group appears if you selected the iManage connector when installing Power PDF Advanced. It requires no client installed but uses a web-based solution.
