Deploying a solution

Before you can import a Capture Components solution into XBOUND (using the Import Solution activity), you must create and deploy a solution to the production database.

Whenever the solution is changed, it must be deployed and imported again in order for those changes to have any effect on production in XBOUND.

Before deploying a solution

Use this procedure

  1. On the Configuration tab, click Solutions.

  2. In the right pane, right-click the solution you are working with and select Deploy to runtime system.

  3. In the Deploy to runtime system dialog, click Run.

    • The system checks the data to ensure that no object is Stale or Incomplete.

    • Older solutions are automatically removed

    • If all activities are successful, the solution is ready to be imported to XBOUND.

    • If an error or warning occurs in one of the activities, an error () or warning icon () is displayed next to the step in the deploy process. Double-click the icon for further information about any problem, which are described in Deploy warnings. Note: The "No tasks available" warning is to be ignored.
