ReadSoft Capture Framework (previously called Open Capture Framework or OCF) is an XBOUND extension. XBOUND is a global integration platform that automates business data capture and processing. It enables the digitalization of entire corporate information flows – regardless of the number of information channels or existing user applications. To learn more about XBOUND, see XBOUND Help.
With ReadSoft Capture Framework (RCF), the XBOUND platform becomes a highly flexible platform for data capture. It enables you to combine capture components from different producers, so you can mix their individual strengths and employ the most appropriate technology for all functionality within the capture process.
The main component in the XBOUND platform is the Management Center. Many configuration plug-ins are available for it. RCF provides the Validation Designer plug-in. This combines and replaces the Business Logic Designer, Form Designer and Master Data Designer plug-ins from previous versions of XBOUND.
All plug-ins are loaded in consoles in the Management Center. The RCF extension is available for the Process Monitor. It displays read and classification results as well as additional field information.
RCF Verification is a stand-alone application used to verify and correct the structure of documents. XBOUND also includes Document Manager, which is used to manually select documents to open for editing, and Rescan, which is used to rescan documents.
Web Verification is an alternative added in XBOUND 3.9.
Documents are processed in a process that consists of several process steps. Each process step describes certain operations (activities) that are to be performed on the documents. Several activities are specific to RCF.
