Assigning business rule groups to process steps

Use this procedure to adjust which process steps your business rule groups are used in.

Note: You can only assign business rule groups to Business Logic, Verification, and Web Verification process steps.

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Open.

  5. In the Open business rule group or form dialog, select a business rule group to open and click OK.

  6. Select File > Process Step Assignment.

  7. In the Assign process steps dialog, select a business rule group in the left pane and drag it to the desired process step in the right pane. (Or you can select a business rule group in the left pane and a process step in the right pane. Then click the Assign button.)

To remove an assignment, select a business rule group in the right pane, and click the Remove button.
