Use these settings to specify how documents are classified in the Sort activity:

Uses layout screening as a method of classifying documents. This option matches the specifications of page layout images against the pages that are to be classified. Likely layout candidates are generated before other classifiers are applied. This speeds up the process. If you are working with documents without any real structure, turn off layout screening if performance is poor. Note: This option does not work unless you also select a layout screening option in the Classification settings of the Document specification dialog. Assigns the default document specification if the system is unsure how to classify the document. You can choose from a list of document specifications that are directly or indirectly (through inherited document specifications or compound document specifications) included in the batch specification that is selected in . settings The option is also available.If you are setting up a Sort activity in an invoice solution that uses Invoice modules, your choice here depends on whether your invoice solution uses master data and how many invoice profiles it contains (see details). |

Only assigns the default document specification if the system has no classification guess at all. If the system is unsure, the document status is instead set to Manual classify. |
