The Document audit trail

ClosedTo access the Document audit trail:

  1. On the Supervision tab of the Administration module, expand the runtime system you are working with.

  2. Expand Included solutions and select a solution.

  3. Double-click Document searches in the right pane.

  4. Right-click a document specification in the table of results and select View audit trail.

If document audit trail logging is enabled in the Audit trail policy dialog(requires special licensing), a record is kept of everything that is done with the document as it is processed through the system.

The information in the Document pane is displayed on two levels. The second level, which you can expand by clicking , shows a list of property changes, values, and previous values. The information in the Details pane, on both the Fields and Pages tabs, has an additional upper level listing the field/page number and name.

Use these settings to view a document's audit trail records:

Document

Date & Time

The date and time the document changed.

User

The user responsible for the change.

Task

The production task in which the change occurred.

Property

The property that changed.

Value

The value of the property after the change.

Previous value

The previous value of the property. (Log previous value must be selected in the Audit trail policy dialog.)

Details (settings on the Fields and Pages tabs are the same)

Number

The number of the field or page.

Name

The name of the field or page.

Date & Time

The date and time the field change was made.

User

The user responsible for the change.

Task

The production task in which the change was made.

Property

The property that changed.

Value

The value of the property.

Previous value

The previous value of the property. (Log previous value must be selected in the Audit trail policy dialog.)
