The Rules settings: Validation tab

ClosedTo access these settings:

  • Closedfor a document, compound document or batch specification

    2. Expand Solutions on the Configuration tab.

    3. Expand the solution you are working with.

    4. Select Documents, Compound documents, or Batches.

    5. In the right pane, double-click the desired object to open its specification editor.

    6. Click the Validation tab.

  • Closedfor a document template

    1. On the Configuration tab of the Administration module, expand Templates.

    2. Select Documents and double-click a template in the right pane.

    3. Click the Validation tab.

 

Use these settings when adding a rule to a document or other Closedobject:

Here object refers to document, compound document and batch specifications, as well as document templates. Fields and field template rules are accessed differently.

Rules

Name

The name of the rule.

On/Off

Indicates whether the rule is currently on or off. Specified in the Rule dialog: Execution settings.

Status

The object's configuration status.
 

Moves the selected rule up or down. Rules are executed in order from top to bottom.
