If an Invoice module displays a message saying that something is locked, the reason can be:
A user is working with the object.
A DOCUMENTS module closed unexpectedly while processing the object. For example, the user’s system crashed or the module crashed.
An administrator may have locked the documents on purpose, by setting a "supervisor lock." (Please check with your administrator.)
Depending on what you are doing, you can usually select one of these ways to proceed:
Try again to do what you were doing after waiting a short time.
Find out if a user’s module crashed. If so, request the user to start the module. Starting the module that crashed should correct the problem with the locked object.
If that does not help, follow the procedure described in If an Invoice module crashes.
Close all of the production modules, and then unlock invoices. As a first choice, search for the locked invoices as described in Searching for documents. Then unlock the invoices as described here. This is more controlled than the procedure described in Unlocking databases.
