An event map connects an event with an external DLL. You can use event maps to execute code in an external DLL when a particular event takes place.
After you create an event-map template, you can apply the event maps to objects.
Select an object, such as a field, document, or batch, that supports event maps.
Right-click the object and select .
Select > in the dialog that is displayed.
Select the events in the list that you want to use with the current object.
