After the Input activity is the Enhance activity.
To select which image enhancement features to apply to images processed in a production task:
Select Image. ( must be selected in the > .)

: Automatically detects and corrects rotation of an image according to the selected value. For example, if is selected, any document images rotated 90 degrees are detected and corrected. checks for documents rotated by
: Straightens an image so that it is properly aligned. An image is skewed if the document is not properly aligned horizontally or vertically when it passes through the scanner.
: Removes any black borders around the edges of an image. When a document is smaller than the scanned area, a black border appears around the document. This option removes that black border, which results in smaller file sizes and better classification and extraction.
: Automatically straightens an image so that it is properly aligned and crops out background data. If an image does not need to be straightened or cropped, it is left untouched.
and cannot be selected at the same time as , because they are included in it. However, can handle more skew than and it might change the size of the image. ( does not change the size of the image.) also takes more time.
To keep copies of the unprocessed image files (before the image enhancement features are applied), select

Or, to remove only blank back pages, select first, and then .
Selecting
may be advantageous if these files contain images or other graphics. Text-only PDF files usually do not need enhancing.If needed, you can now specify threshold settings for color images.
