Specifying queues in a production task

Note that this information applies to queues for documents in general, compound documents, or batches. A different type of queues is available for invoices (more information).

Use this procedure to process documents in queues separately.

Note: You must define the queues before you can do this.

  1. Define a separate production task used to process the documents in one or more queues.

  2. Specify which documents to process. (Select only documents or compound documents, not batches.TFS 3756 - low prio.)

  3. Select Selection criteria > Queues.

The queues defined in the solution policy are displayed, along with the default alternative No queue, which represents instances which are not part of any queue.

  4. Select which queues you want the production task to process. (Click Select all to include all queues or Clear all to deselect all queues apart from No queue.)

  5. Deselect No queue if you have selected at least one other queue and only want to include documents found in a defined queue.

Note: If the queues that you want to add are not available here, ensure that they are defined in the solution.

Only those instances found in the selected queue(s) are processed in production. When processing a batch, the system only retrieves batch members belonging to the queue(s) selected, and not the batch as a whole. TFS 3765 - low prio.
