Image, mark, character, object and barcode fields can have a field complement, which is extra text associated with the field.
In the field definition, you specify under which circumstances you want Verify to prompt you to type the field complement. (Instructions.)
When FORMS finds a field that meets the criteria you specified, it saves the field with the status Incomplete in the form database.
FORMS displays the field, along with a dialog for typing the text into, when Incomplete is selected (as it is by default) in the Verify job description as a status to be verified.
Whatever you type appears in the output for the form, if you include a transaction field containing the name of the field preceded by "&" in the transaction description. More info.
