Before you create a set definition, you must create form definitions for all forms to be included in it. When those are completed, follow the instructions below to create a new set definition.
Using the Manager, select ð New.
In the New object dialog, select Set definition and click New.
The Set definition dialog is displayed. Available form definitions are shown on the left. Select a form definition by clicking it. Then click the buttons to Add or Insert a selection.
Select all copies all form definitions listed on the left to the Selected box.
Delete removes a selected form definition from the Selected box.
Clear removes all form definition names from the Selected box.
Choose the most suitable of the three predefined logic types.
Edit the set logic to suit your particular case.
Normally, it is clear from the structure of a set when one set is finished and a new one begins. However, some sets require a break controlled by a field value on one of the forms. See Break expressions.
A set sum validation is when FORMS checks fields on different forms to make sure their sum equals the value of another field. If there are such fields within your set, set up a set sum validation.
If the set has questionnaire-type logic, you can create an optional set transaction description.
Click OK.
You are prompted to name the set definition. Note that set names are case sensitive.
Click OK. The set definition is saved automatically.
