When you choose this action for a validation rule, an error message is attached to a specific field. The error message is then displayed when you use Verify to process the form. You must also select a status for the field— either Confirm or Validation error. Otherwise, the field might not be displayed in Verify.
Specify a name for the action. This is just a label to help you remember what the action does.
Specify which field is to get the error message.
Specify which field status is to trigger the error message. (Warning: If you select Validation error, avoid infinite loops.)
The status you select here must then also be selected in the Verify job description.
Create a message for the Verify operator. Either type an expression yourself, or click Expression, which opens a dialog that can help you write the expression. The result of the expression must be a string or a numerical value. (If you want to write a simple text message, enclose it in quotation marks.)
Click OK.
