Create a new subdirectory each day

In the Directories dialog, you can have Scan create a new subdirectory for exported images each day by selecting Every day in the New subdirectories group box. Form images are then saved directly to the new subdirectory.

FORMS names the subdirectory in accordance with the short date format defined for your Windows system, except that FORMS deletes any non-alphanumeric characters.

If the string is still longer than 8 characters (which normally only happens if your system has a user-defined short date format that is longer than usual), FORMS truncates the string from the right to 8 characters.

Example

Assuming that the short date setting for the system is mm-dd-yyyy and the default image directory is unchanged, the  resulting image directory and subdirectory are:

In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:

C:\Program Files\ReadSoft\FORMS\Img

C:\Program Files\ReadSoft\FORMS\Img\04032010 (on April 3, 2010)

In the newer operating systems:

C:\Users\Public\ReadSoft\FORMS\Img

C:\Users\Public\ReadSoft\FORMS\Img\04032010 (on April 3, 2010)

Note: If you selected Every day, the directory format shown next to Format of subdirectory names is only an example. FORMS does not know the short date format defined for your system until it checks, during the Scan job session.
