Normally, only form definitions with the same scanner settings should be run together in the same Scan job. All form definitions that you want to process together using the same job descriptions should be based on forms scanned with the same scanner settings.
If you try to create a Scan job description that includes form definitions with different basic scanner settings (those found in the Scanner settings dialog), an error message is displayed when you try to save it. You cannot save or use the job description.
Exception: If you include form definitions with different scanning quality, no error message is displayed, and the job description can be saved. When you run the job, FORMS uses the scanning quality selected for the first form definition in the list. Therefore, select the form definition with the highest scanning quality first.
Similarly, if a Scan job description includes form definitions with different advanced scanner settings, no error message is displayed, and the job description can be saved. When you run the job, FORMS uses the scanner settings from the first form definition in the list, adding two-sided scanning if any of the subsequent form definitions is two-sided. In that case, all forms are scanned on both sides. This does not affect the data but increases the amount of time needed for scanning.
