Note: This topic describes only standard error logs. There is another type of log for interpreted image files.
When a system error occurs in any INVOICES module, INVOICES creates a new error log file. (Location and file name.)
The file contains:
The date and time when the error occurred
The error code and a description of the error
Often, a single problem may result in multiple errors. Each error is written to a separate error log file. When an error occurs, open and read all error log files that were created at the time of the error. Otherwise, you may miss important information.
When an error occurs during scanning, the error log file can contain information that comes directly from the scanner interface. This information may appear in a different language than your INVOICES installation.
Another type of error log is the crash report.
