Connecting fields to business logic

You can connect fields to business logic to get optimum interpretation performance.

Note: Fields included by default in document profiles are already connected to business logic. Fields that you add yourself must be connected if you want to take advantage of business logic.

Use this procedure:

The document profile must be inactive. For more information, see Changing a document profile that is used in production.

  1. Using Manager, click the Document profiles object bar.

  2. If the document profile was created using INVOICES 5-2, open the General settings of the document profile and select a Country.

  3. In the General settings of the field profile, select a predefined field type. This connects your field profile to a predefined field type. Entrance uses business logic for the field when interpreting and validating it.
