The Conversion Settings dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Process Designer.

  2. Under Process Navigation, click the desired process.

  3. In the Process area, click Process Design:

  4. In the Process area, create or open a Convert Office Documents process step.

  5. Click in the Parameter set column.

Use these settings when configuring a process step that converts Microsoft Office documents. The settings vary depending on the selected format.

Export format

The selected format.

Resolution in DPI

The resolution of the new format. The documents will be rendered in this resolution (except for vector documents).

Color depth

The color depth of the new images:

  • Color (24 bit)

  • Grayscale (8 bit)

  • Black/White (1 bit)

This only applies when converting to TIFF format.

Extended settings

Opens the Extended Settings dialog, where you can adjust a large variety of settings.

Additional medium information

Configure an additional value to be saved in the Info property in the converted file – and sometimes (optionally) in the original file, as well. If additional information is already present, the value you specify here is appended to the existing information, separated by a semicolon.
