SignWare Installation

First of all please copy all files to a local directory. The folder
- docs contains the entire S2-API documentation.
- c-api provides the core functionality of SignWare as C-functions.
- j-api contains the wrapper to access SignWare objects from a java virtual machine.
- b-api provides functionality to capture signatures on a web browser. over an network connection.
- x-api contains the ActiveX component of the Windows version of the SDK.
- license includes the demo license files (see SignWare License).

systems_software includes third party software
- MS shared run-time libraries
- Install the Microsoft runtime package (execute system_software\msshared\vs9\vcredist_x86.exe or system_software\msshared\vs9\vcredist_x64.exe)
- Add the absolute pathname of the c-api\Win32 directory to the PATH environment variable.
- Please read details regarding the installation of individual modules in the according subsections.

Some tablets require additional drivers beyond the manufacturer's setup.
- Interlink tablets: install the manufacturer driver for the device, copy all files from drivers\Interlink to the c-api\win32 folder,
- StepOver tablets: copy all files from drivers\StepOver to the c-api\win32 folder, no manufacturer setup is required for serial tablets, install usb to com mapper for usb devices.
- Topaz tablets: copy all files from drivers\Topaz to the c-api\win32 folder, install the manufacturer driver
- Wacom tablets: install the manufacturer driver for the device, no further modules are required. Please check the Wacom web pages for requirements on BlueTooth adapters for Graphire BlueTooth devices.
- TabletPC: copy all files from the drivers\TabletPC to the c-api\win32|win64 folder.

Some Smartphones may be used to capture signatures. Copy all files from drivers\SPRemoteTablet to the c-api\win32|win64 folder
Note: The driver SP_RemoteDrv.dll requires Apple Bonjour. Download Bonjour from Apple and install Bonjour on the host.
- Copy all files from drivers\TabletPC folder to the c-api\win32|win64 folder

Copy all files from drivers\SPRemoteTablet folder to the c-api\win32|win64 folder
Note: The driver SP_RemoteDrv.dll requires Apple Bonjour. Download Bonjour from Apple and install Bonjour on the host. - Copy all files from drivers\Interlink folder to the c-api\win32 folder, install the Interlink driver only if an Interlink tablet is used for this installation
- Copy the file drivers\Topaz\SP_TzDrv.dll to the c-api\win32 folder, install Topaz driver only if a Topaz tablet is used for this installation
- Copy the file drivers\StepOver\SP_SoDrv.dll to the c-api\win32 folder, install StepOver driver and optionally the COM redirector only if a StepOver tablet is used for this installation
- Scanners require additional drivers, please refer to the vendor manuals and install the drivers. SignWare supports TWAIN and WIA interfaces to access scanners in a Microsoft Windows © operating system.
- Cameras require additional drivers, please refer to the vendor manuals and install the drivers. SignWare supports DirectShow interface to access cameras in a Microsoft Windows © operating system.
