General
SignDoc Browser Capture is a JavaScript library that can capture handwritten signatures in a web application on the client side with an easy-to-use API. It provides a customizable user interface and returns the captured signature in the ISO signature format. The captured signature can then be further processed on the server side, for example, with the SignDoc SDK.
Signatures can be captured either via an attached signature pad or via the browser/web application directly. Capturing signatures with an attached signature pad requires the installation of additional software on client machine and is only available for Windows. See SignDoc DeviceConnector Help for a detailed description. In the SignDoc Browser Capture API this software is called "DeviceConnector server". Capturing signatures directly in the browser/web application is also called "HTML5 capturing".
