The Dashboard Designer is part of the Insight Studio application. Use the Dashboard Designer to create dashboard documents, known as Views, in Insight. Each View is saved under the Insight project. A dashboard may consist of multiple Views that contain analytics components such as charts (pie, line, stacked bar and such like), grids, a menu (for navigation), and action buttons.

A report is a PDF version of a dashboard view. You can also schedule to email a dashboard as a PDF document to certain recipients. A report is part of the Insight project.
