Configure BAPI calls using a direct login

In order for the system to communicate with SAP ECC using a direct login, the following prerequisites are required.

  • The SAP ECC GUI must be installed on servers where Kofax AP Agility is running, including and Validation activity workstations.

  • Register the wdtfuncs.ocx control that comes bundled with the installation of the SAP ECC GUI on each machine.

  • Configure the servers that are running Kofax AP Agility to recognize the SAP ECC system.

You can configure the BAPI calls, by following these steps.

  1. Using the menu, navigate to Settings > Invoice Processing > Capture Profiles > SAP ECC Configuration.
  2. Set the following parameters that are appropriate for your environment. These specify the language and authentication details for the connection.

    • Language

    • Organization

    • SystemName

    • User

    • Password

    • EncryptedPassword

  3. If you do not use load balancing, set the Application Server setting to the IP address of your SAP ECC server. Set the System Number setting to 00.
  4. If you are using load balancing, set the Message Server setting to your SAP ECC URL and then set the Group Name setting to PRD.
  5. If a SAP ECC router string is used, set the SAP ECC Router setting to blank (no value).
