This section describes the features and enhancements included in Unified Client for Konica Minolta 2025.2.

General features

Version information

Updated Unified Client for Konica Minolta that provides ControlSuite authentication, document and data capture capability and print release direct on the panel of supported Konica Minolta iOption enabled devices.

The Unified Client is enabled as part of Device Web Service (DWS) and is supported with:

  • ControlSuite version 2025.2 or later
  • Device Registration Service (DRS) version 2025.2 or later

Or, individual server components:

  • AutoStore version 2025.2 or later
  • Equitrac version 2025.2 or later
  • Output Manager version 2025.2 or later

Infrastructure and security updates

TLS secure communication

The Unified Client uses TLS 1.2 or 1.3 to secure the connection to the Tungsten application servers.

TLS level added to Server Status screen

The TLS level that Tungsten application servers use is now shown on the server status screen.

Multi-factor authentication for card registration

The user can be prompted for multi-factor authentication when registering their ID card against their user account when using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Multi-factor authentication will be provided through an off-box mechanism such as a desktop computer or mobile device.

Document accounting enhancements

Prompt for billing code within embedded device settings

Configuration for billing code prompt has been added to embedded device settings within Equitrac web administrator to allow for the setting to be applied to all Konica Minolta devices.

Most recently used billing codes

When used with Equitrac or Output Manager, you can select the last used and most recently used billing code.

Track native device fax jobs

When using the ControlSuite authentication module, the user sessions record fax activity at the device. This activity can be recorded against the user, the department that the user resides in or a billing code that the user has chosen for this transaction. The recorded transactional data is sent to the centralized database for reporting purposes.

Print enhancements

Print Job Refresh button

The Print Release screen now displays a refresh button in the center of the screen that allows the user to refresh the print job view and show new jobs added since logon.

Inline delete key added to Print Release screen

Deleting print jobs within the Print Release screen has been enhanced with a trash can icon to easily delete jobs in the user’s release queue.

Revised Print Details screen

The Print Details screen is refreshed with a cleaner, more modern design that is in line with other unified clients.

Print Preferences for multiple print jobs (Output Manager)

Print preferences through Output Manager can now be applied to multiple print jobs.

Capture enhancements

Additional RRTs

Additional RRTs are available for use with the unified client, which includes Device Type, Device Model Name, Firmware Version, Unified Client Version, Device MAC address, Device Hostname, Device Serial Number, Page Count, Scan Time, Resolution, Color Mode, Original size, Scan size, and 2 Sided Original.

RRTs can now be saved as part of the capture process.

Additional scan settings

Additional scan settings provided by the device are now available for use with AutoStore and the Unified Client.

Scan constraints

If the device cannot support a scan setting, then the setting will not be selectable on the device or a warning message is displayed. For example, if the device is an A4 only device then A3 paper size cannot be selected.

Enhancements to Scan-To-Email

The administrator is now able to configure the Scan-To-Email form within AutoStore to hide the email address in the To-field. This enhancement can be used to always allow a specified email address and restrict the user from changing the email address when using the Scan-To-Email form.

Folder searching

The user is now able to search a directory folder structure and use filters to locate the folder that they want to scan documents into with AutoStore.

Fixed text field

The administrator can now configure the minimal length, maximum length for text fields that are used on the Unified Client, as well as configuring a separator character and making the field a numeric text field only.

Fixed numeric field

The administrator can now input a fixed numeric field that is used on the embedded client as well as configuring additional parameters of minimum, maximum and precision entries.

User interface enhancements

Tungsten branding

The Unified Client has been updated in line with Tungsten Automation branding, which includes updates to the following embedded screens:

  • Welcome
  • Customized Welcome
  • Logon
  • Card Registration
  • Launcher
  • About
  • Icon displayed on device home

Online help screen

Unified Client for Konica Minolta can display a help screen that contains a QR code that links to the Unified Client for Konica Minolta online help that is hosted on the online documentation site.

The online help screen can be opened by selecting Online Help from the menu at the top right of any screen.

Additional user interface enhancements

Additional enhancements have been added to the user interface, such as:

  • Clear data from input fields through an X button.
  • Adding icons to scan settings screen.
  • Busy indicator while print jobs load on screen.
  • Scan complete message added to Inline Notifications.
  • PIN toggle to show/hide new PIN number on Card Registration Screen for Output Manager.
  • Bypass button to access device functions.
  • Single Output Manager workflow direct to Output Manager print release.
  • Updated color of delete key.
  • Change application icon on device.
  • Updated About Screen

DRS enhancements

Tungsten branding

DRS has been updated in line with Tungsten Automation branding.

Change application icon on device

The administrator can change the icon of the Unified Client that is displayed on the home screen of the device.

Configure landing page

The administrator can change the default landing page for users after successful logon.

Additional features

Additional items have been added to DRS that are listed below:

  • Link to the Device log and log folder in action history.
  • Confirmation pop-up before starting a group task.
  • Groups and device "move" within DRS.
  • Ability to upload multiple files or folders.
