KCS Portal
This topic summarizes the enhancements to KCS Portal.
User login
Mail client users can log in to KCS Portal. After logging in, the features available to a user depend upon the role assigned to the user.
Reply, Reply to All, Forward
The Reply, Reply to All, and Forward features are added to the Message screen.
All three features are available only for messages in the Inbox folder. However, the Reply to All feature is only available if there is more than one recipient in the TO field of a message.
The other message folders, such as Outbox, System Folder, FIS Folder, Message Folder, and Transfer Folder have only the Forward feature.
Transfer folder
A new "Transfer Folder" is available in the "Messages" folder. You can use this folder to copy the messages from Inbox, Outbox, System Folder, and Messages Folder and create a backup of the copied messages.
Export messages into TSV format
You can export messages from Inbox, Outbox, System Folder, FIS Folder, and Message Folder into TSV (Tab Separated Values ) format. The TSV format provides a similar view of the messages list as displayed in a Messages folder.
Reorder server list
You can reorder the servers list in .
Backup, restore users and services
You can backup users and services information to a ZIP file. You can use the backup file to restore the service's and user's data when required.
Distribution mode
You can switch the Distribution mode on or off using the Distribute option added to the Inbox folder.
Archive maintenance
Use the new Archive feature available in the KCS Administration to know the status of archive servers, such as the number of volumes, last updated, and the number of online entries.
Reactivate, reroute, correct
You can reactivate an inactive message, reroute, and correct a message in the Outbox folder.
Document conversion values
You can control the document conversion using the new ForceBinToPDF, ForceBinToTCI, and ForceBinToTIF document conversion values in the KCSPortalWebConfig.xml configuration file.
Restricted use of services
The following options are added to the screen displayed when you select the Restricted use of services on the Services tab in the user profile edit screen:
- Service name: Use this option to search for a service name.

Select all: Use this check box available in the Authorization Required and No Restriction columns to select all the services in the grid.
KCS document conversion
The following features are added:
Group Managed Service Account
You can use Group Managed Service Account (GMSA) to run the TCSRV service.
ImageMagick
Use ImageMagick to convert images to TCI, TIFF, or PDF without using the TOPCALL printer driver.
Kofax Capture Connector
The following new fields are added to the Kofax Capture Connector.
Verify TWS TLS certificate
This option available in the Server URL of the Connection configuration screen is only enabled when you enter a secure connection URL. This option, if selected, verifies the security certificate of the specified URL.
Timeout for getting messages from TWS
This field available on the Additional settings tab in the Destination configuration screen displays the time starting from when the message is retrieved from the storage, converted, and transferred to Kofax Capture Connector.
Microsoft 365 support
The following LINK applications support Microsoft 365 to send messages directly from KCS to Microsoft 365:
- TC/LINK-SM
- TC/LINK-OC
- TC/LINK-MX
- TC/LINK-MX7
Multiple TWS instances
You can now install up to 20 instances of TWS.
License management
You can reset your current license registration using Kofax License Tool.
TC/LINK-MQ rejects large messages
If a message sent to Websphere MQ exceeds a specific size (configured using the MaxMessageSizeToMQ registry key), TC/LINK-MQ rejects such messages and sends an alert message to the KCS user (using the message template provided in the MQMessageSizeAlertMessage registry key).
