This topic describes issues that are resolved in Kofax Communication Server 10.4.0.
File extensions missing
1750251: File extensions were not available for the messages forwarded to SAP through TC/LINK-SC.
Issue with DAT file conversion
1742406: The Winmail.dat file conversion failed with an error.
Issue restoring remote machine
1734388: Kofax Communication Server was unable to restore a remote machine.
TC/Web: Unable to send message
1730969: The Send option did not work when switching between users.
Issue with encryption
1729192: Encryption failed for SMTP messages between SAP and TC/LINK-SC7 as there was no common name for the mail server certificate.
TC/Web: Send button not working
1728759: The Send button was not working in the TC/Web French profile.
Issue with HTML file conversion
1718991, 1706925, 1660983, 1596426, 1542519, 1337195, 1374092: Kofax Converter was unable to convert an HTML file.
Unable to create new volume
1715154: TC/Archive was unable to create a new volume on the NAS server.
Incorrect event log
1705450: The event ID 7206 was logged as information instead of an error in the event log.
Issue with data restore
1698500: Kofax Communication Server was unable to restore data from the archive.
Unable to access registry keys
1695166: The registry keys could not be accessed using the WMI service in Kofax Communication Server.
Email body considered as attachment
1693982: While importing messages into Kofax Capture, the email body was considered as an attachment.
Old volumes not deleted
1684787: TC/Archive could not delete the old volumes when the disk space was full.
Issue with single sheet ODS file conversion
1681024: Kofax Converter failed to convert single sheet ODS files when the value of the ConvertSheets parameter was set to Active in KFXConverter.ini.
Unable to detect user
1679068: Kofax Communication Server could not detect a user from the local Administrators group.
Unable to change Windows group name
1678826: The name of the Windows group could not be changed while reinstalling Kofax Communication Server Portal.
IIS version issue
1678816: The Change and Repair options in the Kofax Communication Server setup did not work if the IIS version was earlier than 8.
Issue with message status
1673172: After reactivating an inactive message, if an alternative number was added to the message, the status of the message changed to Waiting.
Sorting issue
1672238: After sorting the columns in TCfW, if the sorting was changed, the columns continued to be sorted as per the previous sorting.
Issue enabling FIPS
1669322, 1648577, 1647774: Kofax Communication Server Portal, Kofax Communication Server Monitor, and Kofax Converter failed if FIPS was enabled.
Security issues
1651107: There were security issues when the Kofax Communication Server Portal setup copied the msxml4*.dll files to the C:\Windows\Syswow64 folder.
Unable to configure Kofax Communication Server solutions
1650161: The Kofax Communication Server solutions, such as FoIP, IPPrinter, and TWS, could not be configured when Internet Explorer was not available on the system.
Issue with SevenZipSharp library
1647772: The Kofax Communication Server backup failed when an unsupported version of the SevenZipSharp library was used.
Issue with TC/LINK-SM alternative mail server
1638674: TC/LINK-SM failed when an alternative mail server was included in TCLSM.dll.
Dirsync process issue

Issue with TCMIME

TC/Archive: Issue with status message
1631281: The status message was displayed in low quality when TC/Archive was viewed on a low-resolution screen.
Link-LN: Issue with attachment conversion

Kofax Communication Server upgrade issue
1629252: Kofax Communication Server failed while upgrading from version 10.2 to 10.3.0.3.
Incorrect number of license keys
1627325, 1627313: The number of license keys available in a license file was displayed incorrectly in Kofax License Tool.
TCLSM: HTML encoding issue
1608173: The UTF16 HTML encoding failed when the SetHTMLCharSet parameter was set to 1 in TCLSM.
Issue with Word.Aspose
1608170, 1414018: Kofax Converter failed when Word.Aspose was used to convert a document.
Export feature not working

WebConfig.xml file modified
1598905: The WebConfig.xml file was modified during the Kofax Communication Server Portal installation.
Connection issue between TCECP and LS1
1598032, 1441206: Firewall dropped the voice or data link connection between TCECP and LS1 when there was no communication for more than an hour.
Connection issue between TCOSS and Status agent
1594803: The connection between the TCOSS server and the Status agent failed when processes ran for more than 25 days.
TCfW: Missing Outbox filters
1593766: The Outbox filters in the TCfW client did not list the Sent items.
TC/Web: Error message not available
1593748: The error message was not displayed when the TCOSS server connection failed.
TC/Web upgrade issue
1591353: The user was unable to log in after upgrading TC/Web.
IPP protocol issue
1575246: The IPPrinter application failed when IPP protocol was used.
Issue with message folders
1569900: The data in the Kofax Communication Server Portal message folders, such as Outbox, Inbox, and Archive could be modified using the HTTP GET requests.
Messages added to exception queue
1564263: While receiving messages using TC/LINK-MX7, if there was a document conversion error, all the messages were added to the exception queue.
TCMIME: Issue with Uuencode messages
1554979: The Uuencode messages were not resolved correctly.
Quality issues with PDF to TIFF conversion
1546474: The PDFs converted to TIFF using Datalogics had bad image quality.
TC/LINK-SM: Issue with log entries
1545610: Two log entries with the same ID:7203 were created when TLS was used to send or receive a message.
Unable to access TC/Archive after upgrade
1545125: TC/Archive could not be accessed after upgrading to Kofax Communication Server 10.3.
Unable to connect to TWS server
1544861: The connection between Kofax Capture Connector and the TWS server failed if the time on the Kofax Capture Connector system was different from that on the TWS server.

Memory leak when using SendMessage function

Incorrect EWS schema

Issue with TCTI module
1523504: When the TCTI module failed in the Kofax Communication Server LCR system, the client LINK applications and TCfW were unable to connect to the TCOSS server until reboot.
Expired entries
1523189: The expired entries were not removed when the TC/LINK-SM DNSCACHE file was cleaned.
Incorrect license
1513626: When switching between users, Kofax Communication Server Portal used the TCfW license rather than the Kofax Communication Server license.
Issue with higher TWS trace level

TOPCALL FAX printer issue
1477180: The Windows system setting failed when the TOPCALL FAX printer preferences were accessed.
Issue with high RTTraceLevel
1473658: While receiving inbound calls, TCECP failed if the RTTraceLevel value was set high, such as 4.
Messages with multi-byte characters not supported
1467565: While converting incoming SMTP messages larger than 1024 bytes, TC/MIME decoded the messages incorrectly if they contained multi-byte characters, such as Japanese.
Issue with Kofax Communication Server Monitor installation
1459972: Kofax Communication Server Monitor setup failed after installing MSI.
Japanese characters not supported
1446121: TCOSS did not accept the emails that contained Japanese characters in the From address.
Incorrect voicemail
1440433: Previously, TCSPIMX for EWS used a hardcoded folder and filename to save temporary voicemail messages from different users. As a result, the message contents were mixed, and whenever a user read a voice mail message, the user listened to the voice mail message of another user.
TC/LINK-SM: Map file issue
1413632: The map file did not work correctly if the originator address was longer than 32 characters.
TCSPIMX: Received date not available
1410706: Kofax Communication Server Voicemail with TCSPIMX was unable to read the received date of a voicemail.
TCDC: Temporary files not deleted
1409155: TCDC could not delete the temporary files created during the file conversion.
New voicemail read twice
1408514, 1412510: A newly received voicemail was read twice by Kofax Communication Server Voicemail with TCSPIMX (EWS) in the same session.
TCLINK-MX7: Unable to read TCOSS-Codepage
1408440: TCLINK-MX7 was unable to read the TCOSS-Codepage and set the default value to 0 when TCLINK exited from idle mode.
TCDCLINK: Backslash issue
1402947: TCDCLINK added an unnecessary backslash to the TCOSS root directory path.
TCLSM allowed client login incorrectly
1402301: TCLSM allowed remote client login even if the authorization was disabled.
TC/LINK-LN: Issue with attachments
1398581: TC/LINK-LN failed when a message with attachments was sent from Lotus Notes to Kofax Communication Server.
Authorization issue
