Known issues
This section contains information about known issues that you may encounter while using the export connector. Workarounds are provided, as applicable.
Missing information in OAuth authentication instruction
1840277: There is some missing information in the "Use OAuth authentication" section of the Online Help and Admin guide.
Workaround: Follow the instructions below to resolve the issue:
- The client certificate (PFX file format) must be installed in the Personal certificate store location.
- The registered application requires the TermStore.ReadWrite.All permission to work with SharePoint Term Store. This permission is only required if Managed Metadata and Enterprise Keywords columns were used. If the application does not have this permission, the export may fail with the missing permission error.
Export may fail in Kofax TotalAgility 7.9 environment with the new OAuth authentication method
1816495: If the new OAuth authentication is used, the export process may fail in a Kofax TotalAgility 7.9 environment.
Workaround: This is an issue with Kofax TotalAgility 7.9 and was resolved in Kofax TotalAgility 7.10. Upgrade to Kofax TotalAgility 7.10 or higher version will resolve this issue.
Incorrect version number displayed in tooltip
1536303: In Kofax TotalAgility, the tooltip displays the incorrect version information for Kofax Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint.
Export fails with date/time value in Japanese era format
1523370: In the Kofax Export Connector Setup dialog box, when you try to map the SharePoint date/time column to a Kofax Express index field and enter the value in Japanese era format, the export fails.
Outdated error message when PDF is not found
1515174: An outdated error message is displayed if a PDF is not found. The correct error message is shown as follows:
Kofax PDF was selected as the image type, but no PDF image file is available for release.
Please verify that a PDF Generation queue is assigned to this batch class.
Also, verify that more than one image is scanned or imported if the "Skip the first page of each document" option is selected in the document class.
Special characters cause export to fail
1510488: The export process fails if the export connector settings contain special characters such as the pound sign (#) or percentage symbol (%). The issue is caused by a limitation of web service APIs that does not allow you to upload a file or query a URL containing special characters.
Failure to export Date Time macro to SharePoint server
1501566: Kofax Express fails to export the Date Time macro to a SharePoint server. As a result, the following error message appears:
The data linked to column is invalid.
Workaround: If you enter the Date Time value manually in a common format such as DD/MM/YYYY, Kofax Express exports the document successfully.
