This section contains information about the new features introduced in this version of Kofax Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint.

OAuth authentication mode

Use OAuth authentication is introduced to extend support for user authentication. For details on how to enable user authentication with OAuth, see the Kofax Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint Administrator's Guide.

The client certificate (PFX file format) must be installed in the Personal certificate store location.
If Managed Metadata and Enterprise Keywords columns were used, additional TermStore.ReadWrite.All permission is required.

Ability to skip empty folder name in exported folder structure

The Skip empty folder names check box is added to the Folders and Document Sets tab to skip creating one or more folders in the folder tree if the supplied folder name values are blank. For details, see the Kofax Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint Help.

Ability to remove invalid name characters automatically

The Remove invalid name characters option is added to the General Settings tab to automatically remove any invalid characters from the name of the document, folder, or document set. For details, see the Kofax Export Connector for Microsoft SharePoint Help.

Ability to verify and create folders

In this release, the connector will check if the folders defined in the Folders and Document Sets tab already exist on the SharePoint Server before trying to create them at runtime.

Alphabetical sort for content types

The content types list in the Folders and Document Sets and Document Settings tabs are sorted in alphabetical order.
