Fax tab

Use this tab to configure advanced fax protocol.

Outbound T38 Mode: Select one of the following options to define how to switch to T.38 mode during outbound calls.

  • 10: Switch to T.38 without G.711 pass-through support

  • 20:Try T.38 with a fallback to G.711 pass-through

  • 30: Use G.711 pass-through unless T.38 is requested by remote side (default)

  • 40: Use G.711 pass-through and prevent switching to T.38 mode

Inbound T38 Mode: Select one of the following options to define how to switch to T.38 mode during inbound calls.

  • 10: Switch to T.38 without G.711 pass-through support

  • 20: Try T.38 with a fallback to G.711 pass-through

  • 30: Use G.711 pass-through unless T.38 is requested by remote side (default)

  • 40: Use G.711 pass-through and prevent switching to T.38 mode

Enable V.34: Select to enable support for V.34 fax (high speed fax), and support for T.38 version 3, which is required for V.34 operation.

Note T.38 version 3 uses a different encoding which is not correctly displayed by current releases of Wireshark Network Protocol Analyzer (tested with 1.0.7).

Enable ECM Reception: Select to enable T.30 Error Correction Mode (ECM) for incoming messages.

Bearer Capability: Q.931 bearer capability for outgoing calls (0 - Speech, 16 - 3.1 KHz Audio).

RedundancyLS: T.38 low-speed redundancy (0..3)

RedundancyHS: T.38 high-speed redundancy (0..3)
