Use this window to configure and test Microsoft SQL Server connection strings.
- Server
-
This group has the following options:
- Server name
-
Select a server in the list that provides a list of all Microsoft SQL Servers on the local network.
The search may take a few moments, depending on the size of your network. - Refresh
-
Use this button to update the list if a new server is added to the network.
- Login Information
-
Each time a database is accessed, it requires authentication. As a result, Kofax Search and Matching Server allows two different authentication methods. If the connection is successful a list of available databases is provided within the Database Name list. If the connection fails an error message is displayed. Select one of the following authentication types:
-
Use Windows Authentication.
This option uses the login credentials of the connected Kofax Search and Matching Server, which means that no user name or password are required.
-
Use SQL Server Authentication.
This option uses an SQL Server user account to access a database. Type the User name and Password so that the connection to the SQL Server can be established automatically.
-
- Test Connection
- Use this button to ensure that the provided connection settings connect successfully.
- Database Name
-
Lists the available databases after the MS SQL Server connection is established successfully.
