Server Logging Report Tab
You can use the Server Logging Report tab to view the messages that are logged for the server or load balancer according to some predefined settings, such as the logging level and archiving options for the log file.
- Errors
-
Returns the number of errors from the log file for the selected server or load balancer. You can reset the error counter by clicking Reset Counters. This is useful if the log file contains many error messages and you want to ensure that after changing the settings for a database a specific error no longer occurs. Note that this only refreshes the displayed number of errors and warnings within this view, but does not remove any messages from the log file.
- Warnings
-
Returns the number of warnings from the log file for the selected server or load balancer. You can reset the warning counter by clicking Reset Counters. This is useful if the log file contains many warnings and you want to know if a warning is returned for a current modification. Note that this only refreshes the displayed number of errors and warnings within this view, but does not remove any messages from the log file.
- Show all messages
-
Select this option to display all messages from the log file.
- Show only warnings and errors
-
Select this option to display only a subset of messages that refer to warnings, errors and fatal errors.
- Most recent messages
-
Lists the last 100 messages from the current server log file or the log messages for the load balancer and all servers that belong to the load balancing cluster. Each message has a prefix that indicates the message category (INFO - information, WARN - warning or ERROR - error message). You can list either all messages, or warnings and errors only.
New messages that are written to the log file are not displayed until you refresh the list manually.
The following buttons are provided.
- Refresh
-
Even if new messages are added to the server log file (for example, when another user that is connected to the same Kofax Search and Matching Server adds a new database) the list of recent messages is not updated automatically. Click Refresh to update the list of Most recent messages.
- Reset Counters
-
Resets the current warning and error message counters to zero. This is useful if the log file contains many warning and error messages and you want to know the number of messages for the current modifications.
