The "InPlace Editor" is an extension of the existing error panel with additional controls that display and allow you to edit the data pertaining to the currently selected field, such as the label, mini-viewer, an editable area (textbox, dropdown, checkbox) of the same type as the selected field, and the error message. When no fields are selected, the "InPlace Editor" displays only an error message, if any.

The "InPlace Editor" is an optional panel that is only displayed when you enable the feature in the TotalAgility Designer. This feature is only available for a Capture Validation activity and covers all the editable capture fields including the document and folder fields.

When the configuration setting for "InPlace Editor" is enabled:

• The panel title reads "InPlace Editor", and its body contains the "InPlace Editor" controls, which are in-sync with the currently selected editable field, if any; otherwise, the body is blank and its controls are not visible.

• Once you place the focus into that panel with the mouse, you can keep typing and hitting enter and the focus always stays in that textbox, always displaying the next invalid field's content.

When the configuration setting for "InPlace Editor" is not enabled, the panel title reads "Current Error" that displays information about any errors for the selected document or folder.
