Predefined Document Type Locator
This locator method enables you to select a document type from the Tungsten Document Library. The selected document type has all the necessary subfields in place and the extraction of these subfields is preconfigured. Simply assign the locator subfields to the fields of your document type. No additional extraction setup is required.
This locator is designed to process single documents only. For example, it can process a multi-page bank statement but it cannot successfully process multiple bank statements merged into a single document. This is because no document separation is performed when this locator method is used in production. Only the first 20 pages of a document are sent to the Tungsten Document Library server.
The extraction type of a Predefined Document Type Locator is "group" which means that this locator has multiple subfields. When the locator is first created, no subfields are available because not document type is selected. Select a document type to create subfields automatically. You cannot rename any of the subfields. Once a document type is selected and its subfields are available you can click on individual field links or click on the Create and Assign Fields button to create and assign all simple fields at once.
