Licensing

Kofax OmniPage Capture SDK for Mac 22.1.0 supports multiple license types. For license types and features, refer to the Licensing chapter in the Getting Started Guide. The guide contains several sections for the various license types and operations.

Running OPLicMgr requires an Intel CPU or Apple silicon CPU with Rosetta. This affects only your development work when activating and managing licenses. Running your distributed application does not need Rosetta. For details on Rosetta installation, refer to the Apple documentation.

  • On handling Seat licenses with OPLicMgr, refer to the "Managing licenses with OPLicMgr" section.
  • On handling OEM licenses with OPLicMgr, refer to the "Activate OEM licenses" section.

Licensing commands work the same on Linux, Windows, and Mac systems, but some prerequisites are operating system-specific. On Mac computers, commands run in the Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal).

Kofax OmniPage Capture SDK for Mac 22.1.0 does not support Page Pack licenses and OmniPage Licensing Agent (OPLA).

For more Mac-specific details, refer to the "Licensing on Linux and MacOS" topic in the RecAPI documentation.

The following sections give examples for handling Seat and OEM licenses on computers with internet access. Refer to the Licensing chapter in the Getting Started Guide for details about online and offline activation, moving, and managing licenses.
