Set up account permissions and settings, which determine which
features and functions this user has access to.

PSIsafe Desktop administrator: A PSIsafe Desktop administrator has the ability to control specific file cabinets for which they have been granted ownership as defined in the Filing Structure: Cabinets settings screen. A PSIsafe Desktop administrator can create and manage user groups, cabinets, and copy cabinets for the cabinets they own. They can also control access rights to the cabinets they own. A PSIsafe Desktop administrator does not have access to repositories or their settings.

Set up password settings, which are used to set the password
parameters for the user account.

Change password on next login: Select to force the user to change their password at the next login to the PSIsafe Desktop Client application.

User cannot change password: Select to prevent the user from changing their password from the PSIsafe Desktop Client application.

Password never expires: Select to set the user password permanently. This disables the Expires in (days) and Expires on fields.

Expires in (days): Enter the number of days in which the password will expire. Upon expiration, the user will be forced to change their password.

Expires on: The date and time when the password will expire. This date is calculated from today's date/time plus the number of days set in the Expires in (days) field. To reset the date, click Reset.

Set up
PSIsafe Management
permissions, which define the areas that are accessible to a user
when using the
PSIsafe Management
application.
To grant access to a particular area, select a corresponding permission.
To activate the User Settings, Filing Structure, Access, and DocuSign tabs, select PSIsafe Desktop administrator in the Account Settings section.
- User settings: Grants access to the Users and Groups areas of PSIsafe Management. The User check box is always inactive unless logged into PSIsafe Management as an administrator. The Groups area allows a user to define or edit user groups within the system.
- Filing
Structure: Grants access to the
File structure area
of
PSIsafe Management.
Only the system administrator has access to the
Repositories area.
The
Repositories check
box is always inactive unless logged in to
PSIsafe Management
as administrator.
The Cabinets check box allows the user to access the cabinet definition wizard where new file cabinets can be defined.
The Copy Cabinets check box allows the user to access the copy cabinet wizard.
- Access: Grants users access to the Rights area of PSIsafe Management. From the Rights section, you can define user rights for cabinets to which they have ownership. This section is only available if the PSIsafe Desktop Administrator check box is selected in the Account Settings section.
- DocuSign: Grants users access to the DocuSign area of PSIsafe Management. This option is available for PSIsafe Desktop administrators only.
- Document
settings: Grants access to the
Managers,
Templates, and
Classes sections of
PSIsafe Management.
Managers allow users to set up and configure document managers to edit or view specific file types.
Templates allow users to define document naming templates and configure the managers assigned to templates.
Classes allow users to define classes for folder, document, and retention classes.
- Workflow: Grants users access to the Workflow section for rules definition and access to the workflow management query engine.
- Tracking:
Grants users access to the tracking functions within Management.
Active Users: Allows users to view the currently connected users in PSIsafe Desktop and end an active user's session.
Reports: Allows users to access the audit reporting query engine in PSIsafe Desktop.
- Client Application
Permissions: All functionality is available to a user by default. Only the
administrator can modify permissions. These options detail what would be
available to a user upon logging in. Enable or disable any of the following
features accordingly:
- Cabinets
- Batch
- Options
- SHARE access
- Workflow
- Workflow: File to Cabinet
- Workflow: Open Folder
- DocuSign access
- Recycle Bin
- Explorer
- Speed Bar
