In the Image View window, the Page ribbon contains the SET tools to edit image items. Some of these tools are also available on the PaperPort desktop for use with all pages in the selected item. The availability is shown like this:
P = Available in Image View or ImageViewer (Page ribbon) to change the current page only.
PI = Also available on the PaperPort desktop (Item ribbon) to change all pages in the selected item(s).
PM = Also available on the PaperPort desktop (Shortcut menu) to change all pages in the selected item(s).
PS = Also available in a Scanning Profile to modify all incoming images.
Here are the available SET commands:

Select Area. Selects part of an image to be affected by the SET Area tools - Crop, Erase Inside, Erase Outside, Remove Red Eye. (P) |

Rotate. Rotates the page or item 90 degrees to the right or to the left, or displays it upside down. (PSI). More. |

Auto-Straighten. Lets PaperPort analyze and automatically straighten one or all pages. (PSI). More. |

Straighten. Aligns the current page to a straight line that you draw. (P). More. |

|
Auto-Enhance. Automatically improves the quality of the current page or all pages in the item. After auto-enhancing a single page, you can choose to make additional manual enhancements. (PSI). More. |

Enhance. Displays a dialog box in which you can adjust the brightness and contrast, color, tint, and sharpness of a single page image. (P). More. |

Sharpen an image. Select the Sharpen tool to adjust the sharpness of a blurry picture or blur a sharp image for special effect. (P). More. |

Remove Red Eye. Removes the red-eye effect that occurs when photographing people or animals in low light or with a flash. This button works only with color images, and should be applied to an area defined with the Select Area tool. (P). More. |

Crop. Leaves the area chosen with the Select Area tool and deletes the rest of the image from the page. (PS). More. |

Eraser. Erases the area of the image that you draw over with the pointer. (P). More. |

Erase Inside. Erases the area outside or inside an area drawn with the Select Area tool. (P) More. |

Erase Outside. Removes the edges of the scanned image by setting the border area to white, as defined with the Select Area tool. This is useful to clear spots, copier shadows or handwritten notes from the page margins. (PS). More. |

Remove Stray Dots. Removes stray dots or "speckles" from a single page or all pages in an item. This button works only with black-and-white images. (PM). More. |

|
Improve Lines. Darkens lines and connects broken lines in a table or form to appear darker and straighter. This button works only with black-and-white images, such as scanned forms and documents. (PM). More. |

|
Convert Color. Makes a grayscale, halftone or black-and-white picture or item from a color one, a halftone or black-and-white picture or item from a grayscale one, or a black-and-white picture or item from a halftone one. (PI). More. |

Invert Colors. Produces a negative from a black-and-white image or inverts color values in grayscale or color images in the current page or all pages in the item. (PI). More. |

|
Punch-hole removal. Remove hole marks from page sides, replacing them with the background color. (PMIS). |

|
Auto-Crop. This tool crops images according to pixel settings you provide. (PMIS). More. |

Black border cleaning. This tool removes scanning shadows from page margins. (PMIS). |

|
Despeckle. This tool cleans black-and-white images using a chosen despeckling type. (PMI). |

White Point Set / Reset. Allows you to manually specify the white point for auto-enhancement used in a scan profile, or restore default values. (P). More. |

Apply BW. Allows you to apply the manually set white and black point values to the current page or item. (PI) More. |

Notes
Image editing buttons work only with image items. This means all buttons will be disabled when you view a text document in the Image View window.
In addition, certain image editing operations are not valid for particular item types. To indicate that an operation is not available, PaperPort automatically disables the appropriate button on the Page ribbon
