Known issues

This topic contains information about potential issues you may encounter while using Printix. Workarounds are included, as applicable.

OmniPage 207110 While scanning a large document, OmniPage may cause the capture process to fail without displaying an error message.
Printix Client for Mac 197729

On Mac computers, the Printix Client may display a Tungsten Printix Client dialog box that says Loading.

Workaround: Wait a few seconds, as the dialog box will disappear on its own.

Printix Go Brother 197424

During the installation of Printix Go Brother, the SNMP settings of the Printix Go sign-in profile are used instead of the SNMP settings of the printer. This can make the installation fail.

Workaround: Do one of the following:

  • Update the default SNMP profile to V3.

  • Select an SNMPv3 profile when creating the sign-in profile.

Printix Go Ricoh 197245 Scanning a large document fails on a Ricoh printer if the capture process exceeds 10 minutes.
Printix Go Ricoh without Printix Client 195561 Print rules do not work with the clientless version of Printix Go Ricoh.
Sign-in with Email N/A

The Sign-in session expired message may appear if the username and password are not entered in a timely manner, or if one or both of them are incorrect.

Workaround: Close the web browser tab and try to sign in again in a timely manner with the correct username and password. If you suspect your password is invalid, select Forgot password.

Printix Go Ricoh Capture N/A

Printix Go Ricoh Capture may fail when scanning large documents (reported with a 130-page document). This can happen if the network connection between the printer and the Printix Client computer is slow. In Printix Administrator History, you may see a message such as: Error: Capture failed (Processing and creation of PDF). Reason: Failed processing scanned files.

Universal Print N/A

Documents submitted via Universal Print are tracked as one-page documents.

Printix Go Epson N/A

Upon entering an invalid ID code or PIN code, the following message appears: (ec-204) Please try to reload the page or contact your administrator. Disconnecting a card reader does not remove it from the Printer properties page.

Printix Administrator (acme.printix.net/admin) N/A

A blank screen may appear intermittently or the Printix Administrator can no longer be accessed.

Workaround: Clear your browsing data.
