Saving ReadSoft Collector log information in Windows Event Log

To save ReadSoft Collector information to the Windows Event Log:

  1. Open the General settings dialog.

     Click the Logging tab.

  2. Click .

  3. Select Event log in the Log type drop-down list.

  4. Type a description that tells you what it is used for. This will be visible and selectable on the Logging tab of the ReadSoft Collector General settings dialog.

  5. Select the desired level of content in the Level drop-down list. The higher the number selected, the more information that is provided and the larger the log file is.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Click Finish.

To view Windows Event Log in the Windows Event Viewer, select Start menu > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
