Use these settings when creating a language specification:
Specify the language/culture that you expect the date format to be consistent with when this language is selected. This setting is related to Windows Regional Settings. It controls which date formats are displayed in the box when you select this language as in the settings for date fields. Note 1: If you leave the default setting, this language cannot be selected for date fields. Note 2: If you change this setting after specifying the language as the for date fields, recheck the settings for date fields. | |
The numeric characters that are included; for example 0-9. | |
The uppercase alpha characters that are included; for example A-Z;ÅÄÖ. | |
The lowercase alpha characters that are included; for example a-z;åäö. | |
The special characters that are included; for example .,:%€$£+?#. | |
Used when the system extracts fields with a fixed position and fields containing handwritten data. |
When you close the dialog, you may see an error message stating that "One or more standard character sets has no characters defined.” This means that not all of the above fields are filled in. At least one of them must be filled in. Otherwise you cannot use the language specification.
