The Execution condition dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Conditions.

  5. In the Manage conditions dialog, click Add Condition or select an existing condition and click Edit.

Use these settings to add or edit a business logic condition:

Name

The name of the condition.

Document Type

The document type that the condition is based on. The document type can only be changed when you are setting up a new condition.

Add

Opens the Adds or edit comparison dialog, so that you can add a new comparison.

Edit

Opens the Adds or edit comparison dialog, where you can edit the selected comparison.

Delete

Deletes the selected node.

Adds an AND operator above the selected node, or changes a selected operator to AND.

Adds an OR operator above the selected node, or changes a selected operator to OR.

Adds a NOT operator above the selected node.

Test Document

This allows you to test your conditional business logic on real documents at design time.

Select a test document to see how the condition would work on it:

  1. In the first box, select the root document. (The documents available in this box are not affected by the document type selected in the Document Type box.)

  2. In the second box, select the document to be tested. (The list shows all of the sub-documents of the selected root document that are of the type selected in the Document Type box.)

    In this box you can also select the root document; consider the first box as a filter.

A red icon signifies a comparison that is false.

A green icon signifies a comparison that is true.
