The Clear database content dialog

To access this dialog:ClosedUsing the Administration module, select Administration > Clear database content.

Use these settings to clear database content:

Database

  • Configuration area: Clears sample documents from the configuration data.

  • Production area: Clears the production data (documents, invoices, field values, etc.). (Displayed if a built-in runtime system is used.) FYI: Yes, this db also contains Form/Invoice configuration data, but that is not cleared, even if you select "Entire database."

  • A list of the runtime systems in use: Clears the selected system database. (Displayed if multiple runtime systems are used.)

Delete database content

Entire database except system audit trail

Only available when Production area is selected above. Deletes all items in the database (except for the system audit trail), including system specifications and solutions. If you select this option, you must redeploy your solution before using the production area again.

Production data (documents and batches)

  • If Configuration area is selected: Clears sample documents.

  • If Production area is selected: Clears production data (documents, invoices, field values, etc.) from the production database.

Execute

Deletes data according to the settings.
