If DOCUMENTS does not work after installation and setup, verify that you have followed the instructions in the installation guide.
In addition, make sure that you have read the Readme file and followed any additional instructions there.
DOCUMENTS cannot be started.
This is usually because the program’s databases were not initialized. The process is described in the installation guide.
If DOCUMENTS is installed on a network computer, it is possible that Windows uses other INI files than those which were updated by the installation program.
DOCUMENTS can be started, but the scanner does not work.
Usually this is due to a faulty connection between the scanner and the PC, or a conflict between the scanner card and another card in the PC.
If you are using a Kofax scanner card: DOCUMENTS always tries to scan using the scanner selected as the "default" scanner in the Scanner Configuration Utility. (Select menu > > > .) Ensure that your scanner is set as the default scanner before scanning with DOCUMENTS. Otherwise you will get an error message.
Check all the cable connections. Make sure the scanner works when you run the demo program that came with the scanner card. If that is not the case, you probably have a hardware conflict (Base address or IRQ).
