Two-sided forms can be included in multi-TIFF files to be imported if:
The forms are defined as two-sided.
The images appear consecutively in pairs in the multi-TIFF files. That is, the front page must precede the back page, and they cannot be divided up between two different multi-TIFF files.
If you select Look for files with two-sided names in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog, then you can import only two-sided forms in the multi-TIFF files. If the forms have appendices, these must be two-sided, as well. In other words, the multi-TIFF file must contain an even number of images.
There are two ways of getting around FORMS’ requirement that multi-TIFF files must contain an even number of images:
Define the form as two one-page form definitions:
Create two one-page form definitions -- one for the front and one for the back of the form.
Specify that the second form definition includes a one-page appendix. (How?)
Include both form definitions in the job description. Do not select Look for files with two-sided names.
Define the form as a set:
Create two one-page form definitions—one for the front and one for the back of the form.
Create a third form definition that does not include any fields (not even adjustment fields).
Create a set definition that includes these three form definitions. The blank form definition represents the appendix. When a page is not identified as matching one of the first two form definitions, it is "identified" as the third one.
Select this set definition (instead of the form definition) in your job description. Do not select Look for files with two-sided names.
