Viewing scanned forms in a separate window during scanning

This can be useful if you want to keep an eye on the image quality during scanning.

  1. Open the Scan job description.

  2. Click the Scan tab.

  3. Click Options. The Scan job options dialog is displayed.

  4. Select View scanned forms.

  5. Specify in the box how often forms are to be displayed. If you display them too often, Scan’s speed may decrease.

  6. Click OK twice to close the two dialogs. Do not forget to resave the job description.

How scanned forms are displayed

The images are displayed before identification. If Scan cannot identify a form, it may be displayed in a separate window, depending on which options you selected for unidentified forms.

If you selected Rotate image 90 degrees when you defined the form definition, the image is displayed as it appears before rotation.

Starting with FORMS 5-3 Service Pack 3: If you switch to the back page of a two-sided image (using PageDown on your keyboard), Scan continues to show the back page of all subsequent images until you switch back to the front page (using PageUp).

You can resize the display window or change the image scale. You can also close the window; however, it is opened again the next time you start the job, unless you deselect View scanned forms.
