The scanner must be connected, its power must be on, and the correct driver must be installed.
Using Manager, click the Scanner settings object bar.
Double-click Settings for next form definition.
Click Select scanner in the Scanner settings dialog. The choice of scanner affects which selections can be made in this dialog.
Select the scanner to be used. Different scanner types are listed in the Select scanner dialog depending on the type of scanner card being used.. (See the documentation for your scanner to find the model number.)
Click OK.

If there is a problem connecting with the scanner you choose, or if the appropriate driver is not installed, a warning message is displayed. "---" appears in the title of the dialog where the driver name is usually displayed, and the dialog is disabled.

The scanner you use to scan the form on which you base a form definition is assumed to be the scanner you will use when you scan corresponding filled-in forms in production. Normally, only form definitions with the same scanner settings can be run together in the same Scan job. (More info.) |
